When to visit
June to October is dry and the strongest window for wildlife, with the migration usually in the Mara from July. January and February are also dry and clear. The long rains run March to May.
Health
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required if you are arriving from a country where it is a risk. Malaria precautions apply in the parks and on the coast; Nairobi sits high enough to be low risk.
Safety
Kenya is well set up for visitors and the parks are routine. Take normal city precautions in Nairobi and Mombasa. Check your government’s advisory before departure.
